The location of this countryside cottage is stunning, with superb views and easy access to the nearby town. The spacious open-plan living area is comfortable, and the double bed and modern bathroom with a storm shower provide a relaxing stay. the host goes above and beyond with personalized touches and thoughtful amenities.
Some minor improvements could be made, such as adding curtains or blackout blinds for better light control and addressing the worn-out sofas.

Lovely location. Spacious accommodation with a large living area and comfortable bed. The shower was nice and the hosts at the farmhouse were friendly. We appreciated the effort put into making the cottage wheelchair accessible for my disabled mother. The cottage had everything we needed in the kitchen and we were welcomed with flowers, sweets, and a bottle of Prosecco. The surrounding area had great walks and hikes.
The beds in the twin room were not very robust and the slats collapsed during the night. The TV reception and wifi were poor, but it wasn't a big deal for us.

We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous cottage in the Peak District. The views were absolutely stunning and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The hosts, Jane and Hannah, were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The cottage itself was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We especially loved the open-plan layout and the cozy enclosed garden where we enjoyed barbecues on sunny evenings. The whole family had a great time and we can't wait to come back!
For breakfast, it would have been nice to have a wider variety of options.

Our stay at Hazel Barrow Farm Cottage was incredible value for money. The room was clean, comfortable, and full of character, and we loved the little touches like the welcome bottle of Prosecco. The location was stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery and close to great walks and hikes. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, including purchasing ramps for my wheelchair-bound mother. We can't wait to go back!
The morning meal could be improved with more variety and options.

Lovely views of the surrounding countryside and a warm and welcoming host. the cottage was well-equipped and clean, and the personal touches like flowers and a bottle of Prosecco were a nice touch. the spacious living area and comfortable beds made for a pleasant stay.
The lack of privacy blinds on the windows was also a downside, as we had other guests and campers peering in. the beds in the twin room were not sturdy enough, causing a slat to collapse during the night.

The location was excellent, with beautiful towns and areas nearby to explore. We had a great time visiting the nearby town of Leek and Buxton. the area was also very dog-friendly, which was a big plus for us. the owner, Jane, was incredibly welcoming and provided us with helpful information about the local area. It was a nice touch to find flowers and sweets waiting for us upon arrival.
There were a few aspects of our stay that could have been improved. the property was in need of some updating.

The location of the cottage was perfect for our Christmas getaway. We were surrounded by stunning countryside and had plenty of opportunity for peaceful walks. The cottage itself was cozy and had all the basic amenities we needed for our stay. The WiFi worked well, allowing us to stay connected when we wanted to. The nearby pub was also a great bonus, providing us with delicious meals and a friendly atmosphere.
One major downside was the lack of a secure garden or outdoor seating area. We would have loved to have a space to enjoy the fresh air and relax outside.
